Hello 2014

Well how quick did 2013 go?!

Now that its a new year, a fresh start is needed. For me, I learnt a lot of lessons last year and am continuing to take them with me into 2014.

Whats the biggest lesson I learnt in 2014 I hear you ask? *****drumroll*****  Diets don't work! I never  *really* realised it before, despite seeing and hearing it all around me I had to learn for myself.
And I have!
Im the same weight/size now as I was this time last year. That says a lot! All that hard work to be back at square one.

Just for the record, and for those who don't know, Ive pretty much always struggled with my weight. Going back and forth on different 'diets'. Ive tried Weight Watchers, Slimming World, Rosemary Conley, Slim Fast, Lighter Life and Herbalife. The only plan I was successful on was Weight Watchers as I lost 5 half stone on their plan. Problem is the plan then changed to ProPoints, and I never really got my head around that. So I left.
Since then i've been yo-yoing, up and down trying different plans (some of the above). Ive re-gained around 2 stone from when I left WW a few years back.

For the first half of 2013, I changed my lifestyle. I worked out 4-5 times a week, followed the Paleo lifestyle and I really was on my way. Then bang, I went on holiday in July and I don't know what happened but I just went back to old habits! Back to yo-yoing and eating processed food. Im so annoyed with myself but hey ho its done now.

So going into 2014 I am determined to make that change for good. Everyone seems to be 'on a diet' now but Im not going down that road anymore. I just want to change my lifestyle for good by working out regularly and eating good, natural foods and I guess following a Paleo lifestyle. I know this is what works for me, and wont be changing or trying any diets ever again!

Now aside from the lifestyle changes i'll be making in 2014, I also want to make some changes in other parts of my life. I also learnt  I really want to make sure I make more effort with people around me like my husband, daughter and friends. I also want to make sure I make time for ME. Time to chill, think and focus :)

What lessons have you learnt in 2013? Do you plan on changing anything this year?

  2. By way of example, you will get fresh manufactured, restaurant-quality food that are chef-prepared without the need of salt. You will get food manufactured in line with specific Diet Food Delivery tips just like low-fat or perhaps lower calb.
